Identity crisis

Hello, readers!

You can see that I've tried to revamp some things here with The Daily Bacon, but frankly the pet photos just aren't working for me. They feel...lame. Really lame, actually.

I started that particular trend hoping it would encourage me to post more, as the blog had become more of the Monthly Bacon . What should this blog be about? What do you want to see more of? Or less of? Or do you care at all?

This is your chance to weigh in. Before it's too late. (Or something threatening like that.)

Guest pet: farm animals!

The in-laws have a farm in central Pennsylvania with tons of animals. Here are some of my faves.

That's a miniature horse. She wasn't terribly happy with me, either. Good thing I didn't sit on her. Just after this photo she took off and was impossible to catch. Slippery little bugger.

This is Timothy and Kate. They like to head butt and pose for photos. (Well, really, they just wanted to eat the camera strap.)

And this is Pudge. Aw.

Oh, the places you'll go!

It's called the lion cut, but we call it the Full-on Dr. Seuss because all they leave is Sam's boots and a poof at the end of his tail. And it's hilarious.

Here's the before Sam (sorry for the repeat):

And here he is after:

Ahhhhh. Much better. At least for me, considering I haven't trained him to vacuum his own hairballs yet.

Guest pet: Ginger!

My friend Errin has a poodle-yorkie (porkie!) mix named Ginger, who is a tiny, 5-pound ball of energy and fur. She's not very well behaved but is far too adorable to be mad at for long. She's also into licking everything.

Musical fuzzies

Today's fuzzy isn't my pets but is just too cute to pass up. OK Go has done it again! This time with dogs!

The cat in the box

CeCe loves Amazon.com boxes the most, but she'll take any old cardboard box that comes along.

Fierce

We had to have some of Oscar's teeth pulled about a year ago because they were rotting (he's old!), so now his tongue will only come out the side without the teeth. And he seems to have a hard time getting it back in.

Come to my window

The cats often sit on the back of the couch and look out the front window, so I'm usually greeted with these cheerful little faces when I pull up to the house. It's a nice way to come home.

So fuzzy

Mom! Mo's touching me again!

Animals!

Time for a direction change for the blog! Starring: pets! My pets, to be exact. Doing hilarious things. Feel free to write your own captions and make me look bad. Aaaaaaaaaannnnnddddd....commence!

Remember that time little Rhiley lost a finger?
This is my box. Fuck off.

Frankly, Mo was getting a little tired of dramatic readings from Harry Potter.
